Synesgy at the Supply Chain Decarbonization Conference: Driving ESG Transparency and Action in Greece

At this year’s Supply Chain Decarbonization Roadmaps conference, Synesgy was represented by Eleni Vidaki, Manager of Product Marketing & Development for Synesgy Greece – ICAP CRIF. Her participation highlighted the growing importance of ESG evaluation as a strategic tool for accelerating sustainability across supply chains.

With one of the largest ESG databases in the Greek market, Synesgy offered a data‑driven perspective on where Greek businesses stand today and what is needed to move forward. According to the platform’s insights, 40% of companies remain at a basic ESG maturity level, while only 20% have reached advanced integration—primarily large or listed organizations that act as sustainability multipliers for their sectors.

A key focus of the discussion was Scope 3 emissions, which account for nearly two‑thirds of total GHG emissions. Vidaki emphasized that this is the most challenging yet most critical area for companies seeking meaningful decarbonization. She presented the Synesgy carbon footprint calculator, a tool built on internationally recognized sources such as the GHG Protocol, EEA, and EMBER, designed to support companies in estimating and benchmarking their emissions with reliability and transparency.

The conversation also touched on renewable energy adoption, where Synesgy data shows that 52.94% of Greek companies with RES installations rely primarily on photovoltaics, leaving significant room for diversification into wind, biomass, and cogeneration solutions.

Through her intervention, Vidaki underscored a central message: ESG is no longer a compliance exercise but a strategic pathway. With the right tools, data, and collaboration, Greek businesses can strengthen their competitiveness, enhance transparency, and accelerate their transition toward sustainable supply chains.

Synesgy’s presence at the conference reaffirmed its role as a trusted partner for companies navigating the evolving ESG landscape—offering clarity, structure, and actionable insights at a time when sustainability expectations are rapidly rising.
